Dewatering Decanter Centrifuge
GN dewatering decanter centrifuge is T series decanter centrifuge with beach angle of 8.5 degree. It is widely used for dewatering requirements of municipal and industrial wastewater sludge. The dewatering decanter centrifuge is designed for easy separation material include large particle size, high density difference of solid and liquid, low viscosity, high concentration, high treatment capacity and higher dryness than clarity.
Description of working principle
1. The bowl and screw of the decanter centrifuge rotate to the same direction with a certain differential speed. The material is continuously introduced into the screw shaft, and then flies to the bowl after its speed highly increased.
2. Under the action of centrifugal force field, heavy solid phase is deposited on the bowl wall to form sediment layer. The solid is continuously pushed to the cone section of the bowl and discharged through the slag outlet.
3. The light liquid phase forms an inner liquid ring, which is continuously overflow out of the bowl from the liquid outlets at the big end of the bowl.
4. Straight section of the bowl is the clarification area, and the cone section is the extrusion drying area.
The beach angle of the T Series dewatering decanter centrifuge is 8.5 Degree, which makes the decanter centrifuge cone section longer, that is, the drying and dewatering area of the decanter is longer, which is conductive to the dewatering performance of T series decanter centrifuge, and much drier solid cakes discharged. The beach angle of 8.5 degree will make the slag discharging more smooth so as to increase the amount of slag discharging.

Features of GN Dewatering Decanter Centrifuge:
The material for the shaft caps on the two ends and the bowl is duplex stainless steel SUS2205 or SUS2304 by centrifugal casting, which is superior to the performance of SUS304 and SUS316. The main parts are made by centrifugal casting and die forging process to avoid intergranular corrosion and incomplete residual stress release caused by traditional welding process.
The screw blade is pressed by the CNC spiral blade forming machine. It has higher slag conveying efficiency compared with the traditional drawing screw blade, .
Depending on the material properties, the screw blade can adopt gradual change type, which can improve the efficiency of screw’s transport and press force so that the solids can be dryer.
Optimized beach angle and pitch, large beach angle and medium pitch with BD baffle plate make the dewatering zone separated from the sedimentation zone. The depth of the liquid pool is deeper and the dewatering zone is longer. The separated liquid is more clear and drier, and the processing capacity is larger. The deep liquid pool loses less kinetic energy when the clear liquid is discharged.
The machine has a material acceleration structure to reduce turbulence in the bowl, reduced turbulence makes the screw flight discharge port better protected for anti-abrasion, so the screw conveyor has a longer service life.
The wear-resistant sleeve of the solid discharge port is made of durable tungsten carbide, ensuring exceptional wear resistance without fragility.
The smaller model includes a gas spring-assisted cover for the collection box, providing support and safety.
The larger model incorporates a labor-saving lid opening device, enabling a single person to lift the collection box lid, reducing labor intensity and facilitating equipment maintenance.
After precision machining using CNC equipment, all main rotating parts undergo three dynamic balance processes, including a 1800RPM medium-speed dynamic balance for the main rotary body component, high-speed dynamic balance under actual working conditions, and overall machine balance. These steps ensure stable operation of the decanter centrifuge at high speeds.
The screw propeller is safeguarded by replaceable wear-resistant alloy plates, providing a long service life and easy maintenance.
The main bearing utilizes premium SKF series high-end bearings known for their long service life. Additionally, an automatic lubrication system can be installed based on the user's preference.
The small model's main bearing can be equipped with a semi-automatic or fully automatic batch grease lubrication system, ensuring thorough and reliable lubrication, reducing labor intensity, and enhancing bearing lifespan.
The large machine employs an oil injection automatic circulation lubrication system for the main bearing, providing cleaning, cooling, and greatly improving the bearing's service life.
Equipped with a comprehensive machine monitoring and alarm system, the decanter centrifuge automatically protects itself in case of overload, short circuit, or phase loss. Real-time monitoring of centrifuge speed, bearing temperature, overall machine vibration, lubrication system oil pressure, motor current, and push torque enables prompt alarms in case of abnormal parameters.
Typically, a stainless steel electric control panel is used, featuring renowned VFD, PLC, HMI, and other electrical components. Upon request, GN can also provide explosion-proof VFD control panels with relevant certifications such as CNEX explosion-proof, ATEX explosion-proof, and IECEX explosion-proof.
